The Big Numero Uno!

Well, the big day finally came. James turned one year old on May 21. I can't even begin to tell all the new developments in his life! He is cruising around the living room with the help of anything he can hold on to. He now waves anytime he hears bye-bye or hello. He points at things when you ask him where they are. I am amazed every day with the new things he does. Saturday was an extremely big day. First he woke up and got his first big-boy haircut! He was such a good boy. He sat very still like he had been doing this all of his life. Then he had his first birthday party. All the family came to celebrate with him and he received so many presents it wasn't even funny. It looks like Toys-R-Us exploded in my house! He ate his entire little baby cake, and had icing ALL over his face! His little friends Ashton and Aubrey came as well. They all played together well, and he even gave Aubrey a kiss and a hug! Hmmm....my son, the player. Then, this morning, he went for his one year check-up, and SHOTS! Dr. Khan said that he was a very healthy boy. He weighed 24 pounds, and is 29 inches long.
Daddy and I are so proud of him. He does something to make us laugh, or cry, or be amazed every day. It is so hard to believe that he is a year old already. I don't know where the time has gone. I just know that if the rest of the time goes this fast, I better put my seatbelt on!
